The first meeting will be after the 5:15 Mass in Anabel Taylor Chapel on February 10th . This will be a brief meeting with your Spiritual Director
This six week retreat in daily life involves daily prayer exercises which help us to accept God’s unconditional love. These exercises also allow us to recognize our need for healing, and to experience the tender mercy and compassion of Christ. As our prayer journey unfolds, we deepen our knowledge and love for Jesus Christ through engagement with Gospel passages. We allow Jesus’ words and actions to dialogue with our own life experiences. As we grow in our relationship with Christ, we seek to follow him more closely. Our deepening awareness of Jesus in the Gospels moves us toward greater freedom. This enables us to make choices in tune with God‘s desires for us and for our world. During the last week of the retreat we allow the suffering, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ to illuminate our Lenten faith journey.
Participants agree to pray privately for 20 - 30 minutes each day. They agree to make use of a journal to jot down their reflections after prayer. And they agree to meet individually with a spiritual director once a week during the six weeks. At the close of the final week, retreatants will gather together for group sharing.
