Join us for a film depicting the true story of the Portuguese diplomat who defied orders and issued over 30,000 visas to families escaping Europe during WWII. Professors Chris Barrett (Dyson), Jesse Goldberg (CAS) and Paul Velleman (ILR), descendants of visa recipients, will share their families’ stories and lead a conversation about refugee crises in Europe then and now. This event is cosponsored by the Dyson School of Applied Economics, the Center for Transformative Action, and the Cornell Catholic Community.
