Catholic citizens have a moral duty to participate in civil society.
Catholic laypersons have, through their participation in civil society through their various professions, commerce, family life, and political discourse, a specific mission to bring the Gospel to the world. This mission takes on a particular form during election seasons. The campus ministry has prepared this set of resources to help you discern your moral responsibilities to participate in public discourse and make just voting decisions. It's never easy, because the options are limiting and none fully conforms to the Catholic moral vision. Yet we must participate and work for the common good, despite the difficulties and limitations.
Please reach out to the campus ministers if you would like to discuss certain issues. We're more than happy to help!
